How do I Love thee?

How do I love thee?
As my God has loved me.

HE does not seek to possess
HE sees my soul and loves me anyway.

As I would not seek to possess HIM
Neither do I seek to possess those whom I love.

My love for you is not grounded in the face I see in you,
But rather the soul I see within you.

My love requires nothing of you
But that you be you, the ‘you’ that I see.

If that is not possible for you
I love you anyway.
